Data is at the heart of research.

In an era where the sheer volume of data we’re producing daily increases exponentially, managing it becomes all that more important.

Thanks to investments from the Research Support Fund, led a major leap forward in supporting researchers by developing and launching the university’s this year.

The university used funding to hire expert consultants, including an Indigenous consultant to ensure the strategy upholds principles of Indigenous data sovereignty, while aligning with the Tri-agency research data management policy.

麻豆区’s working group collaborated with external experts to assess current infrastructure and future needs. Their findings confirmed 麻豆区 meets baseline national standards but revealed gaps in data storage and support. These insights shaped a forward-looking strategy to enhance services and reduce administrative burden for researchers.

The new strategy lays the foundation for a future where faculty can seamlessly meet data management requirements – freeing time to focus on impactful research. It also ensures 麻豆区 is equipped to manage all types of data, including Indigenous data, with respect and compliance.

These efforts exemplify how targeted funding empowers institutions to build sustainable, researcher-focused solutions. With continued support, 麻豆区 Libraries will be positioned to continue to expand support infrastructure, personnel and strategic projects that elevate research excellence at 麻豆区 and for Canada.
